Job summary

Papier-Mettler is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You will collaborate with engineering and production to implement preventive maintenance and minimize downtime, contributing to overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting, component replacement, record-keeping, and supporting installation of new equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; industrial maintenance experience; strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge; ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics; safety standards familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions with appropriate tools.
• Repair or replace components such as motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
• Coordinate with production and engineering to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed during maintenance.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns to restore function quickly.
