Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production and ensure safe operation of the plant. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance of reactors, vessels, pumps, and automated equipment, with an emphasis on preventative work and collaboration with Engineering on improvements.

Responsibilities include maintenance of packaging lines and machinery, diagnosis of faults, and implementing operating procedures with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3-5 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
• No Per Diem and no relocation funding.

Responsibilities

• Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including hydraulics, pneumatics, utilities (chiller, compressed air, hot water, hot oil, and LNC), pumps, reactors, rotary equipment, pressure vessels, etc.
• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of mechanical principles.
• Preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
• Confer with management and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
• Plan and install of machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance, including but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures industrial and electrical control equipment and components
