Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance of machinery, buildings and equipment, including setup, adjustment, and safety-compliant operation. You will work in a team to ensure production efficiency and product quality.

You will analyze problems, perform tests, execute preventative maintenance, and adhere to EH&S guidelines in a fast-paced plant environment with exposure to moving parts and loud noise.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with machinery used in film manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints to plan setup and operation.
• Knowledge of welding, machining, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting or maintenance concepts.
• Proficient with electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems and plan corrective action to maintain production and quality.
• Test equipment, clear jams, run equipment after repairs and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Notify management of recurring malfunctions and advise corrective actions; supervise trainees.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including air compressors, gears, pumps, motors and other plant equipment.
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety programs to maintain a safe, clean workplace.
