Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery, buildings, and equipment, ensuring production quality and safety. You will set up, adjust, and operate equipment following Amcor safety guidelines and OSHA standards.

A background in industrial maintenance and the ability to read electrical/mechanical blueprints are essential. You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and train trainees as needed, while adhering to safety policies in a high-noise,

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical principles.
• Plans setup and operation of machine shop tools.
• Proficient with electrical testing equipment to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Able to work with little direction and solve problems efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and take corrective action.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Test equipment after repairs and perform start-up/shutdown per safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of equipment including pumps, bearings, motors and conveyors.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with EH&S programs.
