Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and support production to minimize downtime.

The role involves inspections and potential equipment upgrades while ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic maintenance skills, and familiarity with tools and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Forklift and hoist experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance software and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and large machinery.
• Inspect systems and components to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
• Assist with equipment installations and shop setup.
• Record repair data and maintenance activities for tracking and reporting.
• Support production teams to maintain continuous operations.
• Perform daily to yearly safety inspections and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
