Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical installation and repair across plant utilities and machinery. You will fabricate carts and fixtures, troubleshoot shop equipment, and ensure compliance with codes.

Role requires reading diagrams, hydraulic/m mechanical system knowledge, and MIG welding. On-site work with strong safety practices and cross-department communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in industrial or facilities maintenance; tech school cert accepted in lieu.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, drawings and prints.
• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems and test instruments.
• Electrical preventive maintenance, lock-out/tag-out, motors and VFDs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic software tools.
• Certifications or technical degrees required; MIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience with Salvagnini punching/forming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical systems and fabricates carts/fixtures; repair shop equipment per codes.
• Examines and maintains mechanical systems; suggests improvements.
• Performs preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, machines.
• Typically works alone; reports to the maintenance supervisor.
• Communicates maintenance impacts to all departments.
• Interacts with manufacturers/suppliers and external parties via computer.
