Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years maintaining industrial equipment, preferably in metals service center or related industry
• Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting with strong aptitude for mechanical systems
• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
• Experience with pneumatics, conveyor systems, and general mechanical engineering

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery following diagrams and sketches
• Troubleshoot malfunctions adhering to safety protocols
• Identify mechanical problem sources by observing operation and using precision instruments
• Dismantle devices to replace faulty parts using hoists, cranes and hand tools
• Inspect parts to verify dimensional changes using calipers and micrometers
• Adjust functional parts using hand tools and leveling instruments
• Minimize downtime by scheduling maintenance during non-production periods
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment
• Maintain inventories using Kanban system and verify receipts
• Document actions, irregularities, and needs for team continuity
