Job summary

Kloeckner is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure essential equipment and machinery stay in optimal condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, and coordinate with the team to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience, with strong troubleshooting and a focus on safety and quality. This on-site role carries a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 4–6 years related experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience with pneumatics and conveyors.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to pass physical examination (vision, hearing, mobility).
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management concepts.
• Reliable, independent worker with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machinery following diagrams and safety protocols.
• Diagnose mechanical problems by observing equipment in operation and using measuring tools.
• Dismantle devices to replace defective parts with hoists, cranes, and hand tools.
• Inspect parts for dimensional changes using calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust components and control instruments with hand tools and levels.
• Reduce downtime by scheduling maintenance during non-production periods.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Manage inventories using a Kanban system and verify receipts.
• Share maintenance information and respond to questions from team members.
• Prepare maintenance reports and analyze trend data.
• Stay current with technical knowledge through training and publications.
• Document actions and needs to ensure continuity across teams.
• Collaborate with team members and adapt to assignments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
