Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support industrial equipment in our Columbus, MS facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and collaborate with teammates to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on skills with motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and measurement tools, plus a solid work ethic and attention to detail to minimize downtime and sustain equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 4-6 years of job-related experience in industrial maintenance in metal services or similar.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of pneumatics and conveyors.
• Ability to read diagrams, sketches, and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and production equipment following diagrams.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using precision measuring tools and routine testing.
• Replace worn parts using hoists, cranes, and hand tools, inspecting for wear.
• Inspect parts for dimensional changes using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools.
• Minimize downtime by scheduling maintenance during non-production periods.
• Document actions and maintain maintenance reports for trends.
