Job summary

Finlays Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in New Lenox, IL to support the manufacturing facility. You will perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

You may participate in equipment changeovers, set-ups, and major rebuilds, with on-call shifts as needed. The role emphasizes safety, TPM/GMP compliance, and collaboration with multiple teams to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or GED
• Experience with food manufacturing and steam related equipment desirable
• Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting highly desired
• Experience with pumps, piping, instrumentation equipment, welding, use of hoists, cranes, and fine measurement devices is a plus
• Minimum 2+ years maintenance experience preferably an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical devices, troubleshooting & repair, and safe work practices
• Must be comfortable with the use of personal computers and proficient with Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate process improvements
• Apply TPM and GMP principles in a manufacturing setting
• Lay out, install, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration
• Read blueprints and manuals to ensure proper installation and operation
• Record repairs, parts, and materials in the CMMS program
• Ensure safety priorities in operations and work execution
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify repairs
• Provide toolkits and keep rolling toolbox ready
