Job summary

Aerotek in Torrance, CA seeks a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair critical facility equipment in a manufacturing environment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and reading manuals and schematics.

You will open and track work orders in CMMS, assist in site operations, and safely operate forklifts and lifts. On-site, contract-to-hire, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 100 feet.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all critical equipment in the facility.
• Perform weekly scheduled preventive maintenance on production and infrastructure equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls system issues down to the component level.
• Read and utilize equipment maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Open, track, and resolve work order tickets through the internal CMMS system.
• Assist in managing site-wide operations and maintenance programs.
• Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when necessary.
