Job summary

FM Industries in Fremont, CA, seeks a Facilities/Maintenance Technician 2 to maintain and improve production equipment and facility systems. This full-time role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical infrastructure, and safety compliance to keep operations reliable.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems; read schematics; install upgrades; and keep precise maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance or equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, modify, and upgrade equipment; maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Maintain facility systems (HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection).
• Coordinate repairs with contractors and vendors; support improvement projects.
