Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Rochester, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and specialized maintenance of our facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will work with plant staff, use a web-based PM system daily, troubleshoot automation and control systems, and maintain wastewater systems and power plant equipment.

Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems
• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (e.g. LOTO, hot work, confined space) wastewater treatment
• Boiler operator license and wastewater certification (state dependent) and computerized preventive maintenance systems
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other operational partners to support facility operations
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond to equipment failures
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental requirements, and wastewater compliance; maintain computerized maintenance records
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime
