Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Kinston, NC facility. The role involves preventative and specialized maintenance of plant equipment, with an emphasis on automation and control systems, safety and environmental compliance, and timely documentation in the PM system.

You will collaborate with management to ensure reliable, cost-effective operation of the facility and its wastewater and power plant systems, while safely performing tasks in an industrial laundry

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems.
• Work Experience Requirements: 2+ years industrial maintenance.
• Specialized Knowledge and Licenses: Boiler operator license (some states), wastewater certification (some states), computerized preventative maintenance systems.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other safety violations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
