Job summary

Champion Personnel System is seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician in Willoughby Hills, OH for a 2nd shift direct-hire role. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including conveyors, packaging, motors, sensors, and electrical components.

The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, independent problem solving, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Requires experience in industrial maintenance, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and flexibility for

Qualifications

Previous industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
Ability to diagnose equipment problems and make repairs independently
Experience with motors, sensors, wiring, and production machinery
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
Comfortable using hand and power tools
PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Comfortable working in both warm and refrigerated production areas
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot production and packaging equipment including conveyors, bagging/sealing, grading, and vacuum packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, complete repairs, test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Work independently to identify and fix breakdowns, keep equipment running efficiently, and assist with parts inventory and basic facility maintenance.
Read blueprints/schematics and follow electrical/mechanical drawings to diagnose problems and implement fixes.
