Job summary

Our Home in the United States is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for its production facility on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm with every 3rd weekend). This role is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex plant equipment to keep production lines running safely and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

• Skills required include an intermediate level in proficiency in welding, plumbing, electrical repair, instrumentation, fabricating and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Advanced skills as an industrial mechanic or industrial electrician; previous manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions and write documents; present information clearly.
• Ability to apply experience and common sense to diverse situations and manage multiple projects.
• Proficient use of Maintenance Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs to equipment to minimize downtime.
• During process downtime, perform corrective and preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Fabricate, manufacture or assemble items from blue prints or schematics.
• Rebuild or remodel highly complex pieces of machinery such as gear boxes and motors.
• Maintain an inventory of parts and report usage for restocking.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of repair equipment and participate in ongoing training.
• Follow safety regulations, uphold ethics and integrity, and manage data with the CMMS.
• Report safety, food safety or quality issues to management for action.
