Job summary

Cutting Edge countertops is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our countertop fabrication equipment running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, 24/5 operation. You will diagnose and repair CNC machines, saws, polishers, and dust collection systems, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-demand

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or fabrication
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of electrical systems (motors, sensors, relays, basic VFDs, wiring)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
• Reliable attendance and safety commitment

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fabrication equipment including saws, CNC machines, polishers, routers, compressors, and dust collection systems
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and implement root-cause fixes
• Follow and enforce safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Track maintenance activity, parts usage, and equipment history
• Partner with production to prioritize repairs and improve equipment performance

Description

We’re a fast-paced countertop fabrication facility looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and keeping production on track in a 24/5 operation. If you’re a hands‑on problem solver who can diagnose issues quickly and fix them the right way—not just the fast way—you’ll do well here.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Overtime may be required based on production needs

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fabrication equipment including saws, CNC machines, polishers, routers, compressors, and dust collection systems

Perform preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

Respond quickly to breakdowns and implement root-cause fixes—not temporary patches

Follow and enforce safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures

Track maintenance activity, parts usage, and equipment history

Partner with production to prioritize repairs and improve equipment performance

What We’re Looking For

Required:

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing or fabrication preferred)

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

Working knowledge of electrical systems (motors, sensors, relays, basic VFDs, wiring)

Ability to work independently and stay productive in a fast‑paced environment

Comfortable using hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment

Reliable attendance and strong commitment to safety

Preferred:

Experience with CNC equipment or stone/countertop fabrication

Welding and basic fabrication skills (MIG/TIG)

PLC troubleshooting experience

Familiarity with dust collection systems and compressed air systems

Forklift or lift certification

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs

Comfortable working around moving equipment, noise, and dust‑controlled environments

Ability to safely perform work in an industrial setting
