Job summary

Chemours Company is seeking a Mechanical Technician at the Deepwater, NJ site to support the Maintenance & Reliability team. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, conveyors, and related equipment, interpreting diagrams, and coordinating with vendors and internal staff.

Applicants should have an associate degree or equivalent, plus a journeyman's license or NCCER certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical maintenance or related trade.
• Journeyman's license or NCCER certification preferred; vocational training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain plant equipment including pumps, valves, agitators, conveyors and piping.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs and scheduled upkeep of facilities and production equipment.
• Interpret diagrams and mechanical drawings; troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
• Enter maintenance work orders in SAP and ensure housekeeping standards.
• Work flexible shifts, nights, weekends, and on-call as required.
