Job summary

REC Silicon Inc. in Butte, MT is seeking a full-time industrial maintenance technician responsible for setup, repair, and ongoing maintenance of pumps, motors, compressors, piping, and related equipment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, ability to read engineering drawings, and the capacity to work on a rotating 12-hour shift, including weekends and holidays. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years related experience.
• Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Must be able to certify and maintain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in or perform removal, installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors, and other rotating machinery.
• Assist in or perform basic fabrication and mechanical duties such as pipe and valve installation bracket fabrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance functions.
• Perform facility maintenance functions including basic ground duties.
