Job summary

REC Silicon Inc in Butte, MT seeks an Instrument & Electrical Technician to support production through electrical and mechanical maintenance, testing, and calibration of equipment. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience, with preferred ISA Certification and Journeyman’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years related experience.
• ISA Certification preferred.
• Electrical Journeyman’s License preferred.
• Basic computer skills including functionality in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Ability to perform unit conversions and various calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical or mechanical malfunctions; perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain plant controls and monitoring instrumentation.
• Develop wiring diagrams and engineering specifications for systems or equipment.
• Rebuild and calibrate control valves, actuators, and regulators.
• Plan and record periodic electrical testing and modify equipment as needed.
• Calibrate pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters and process controllers.
• Collaborate with IE planner to develop repair plans.
