IFS INDUSTRIES, INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Reading, PA to perform routine facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, and on-call duties to ensure production uptime. The role involves troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and adherence to safety policies.

Daily tasks include preventive maintenance, repairing pumps and motors, and following up on work orders. The candidate should be able to work independently, manage spare parts, and be available for after-hours calls as needed.

These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.

These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.

Essential Functions

• Preventive maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motors
• Repair and rebuilding of gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from ¾” to 3” sizes
• Changing of mechanical seals in pumps
• Shaft alignment for pumps
• Minor electrical work
• General facility upkeep and routine repairs
• Follow up on workorders.
• Must comply with all safety regulations and policies to ensure work is done is a safe manner.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts list.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proactive maintenance mindset.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system)
• Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.
• Must be able to be on-call for afterhours call in and overtime as needed.
• Technical School certifications a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
• Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance.
• Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level is usually loud.
