Wieland North America, Inc is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Shelbyville, KY for on-site, rotating 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities include preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting new equipment installations.

The role requires reading schematics, hydraulic/lubrication work, and welding. Candidates should have 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years industrial equipment maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Experience with welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and cutting.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment including forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance; troubleshoots equipment to improve reliability.
• Maintains hydraulics and lubrication; selects appropriate lubricants.
• Performs simple machining, fabrication and welding tasks.
• Commissioning of new systems and integration with existing controls.
• Reads technical diagrams and schematics; understands lifting/rigging techniques.
• Adheres to environmental, health and safety guidelines.
