Job summary

Kennametal Stellite Inc. in Henderson, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a 12-hour rotating shift (7:00am-7:00pm, 2-2-3) in a busy plant environment. The role requires strong general industrial maintenance skills and a solid safety mindset.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. Collaboration with CI teams, welding and basic electrical work, and adherence to safety rules are essential to keep equipment

Qualifications

High school diploma with at least 5 years general industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledgeable in safety, health and environmental protection for plant maintenance.
Participate and/or lead CI teams.
Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
Pass the tow motor driving test.
Read blueprints and installation/operating manuals.

Responsibilities

Adhere to plant safety rules and OSHA regulations to prevent injuries and damage.
Install and repair equipment and facilities.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and record actions/findings.
Maintain general cleanliness of the workplace.
Maintain/repair machinery and material handling equipment to prevent injuries.
Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Handle hazardous materials with proper safety procedures.
