Job summary

Wieland is hiring a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Wheeling, IL. This on-site role will support troubleshooting industrial electromechanical systems and operate within the maintenance department.

The candidate should have at least three years in industrial facilities; preferred degree in Mechatronics or Automation; able to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and diagnose issues with SCADA, VFDs, servo motors, drives, and PLCs. Bring your toolbox.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in industrial facilities.
• Experience maintaining industrial automated manufacturing equipment.
• Able to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting AC and DC voltage; single and three phase.
• Knowledge of SCADA, VFD, servo motors, drives and PLCs.
• Good computer and data entry skills; verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Interface with machine operators to diagnose issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep machinery running.
• Use hand and power tools; bring own toolbox.
• Diagnose defective parts and disassemble for repair.
• Fabricate/repair parts using mills, lathes, welders.
• Follow OSHA/NFPA; wear PPE; coordinate with departments.
