Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in partnership with a Fortune 500 company, is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics to support our client’s peak retail season in Moreno Valley, CA. These fixed contract roles (with potential to be hired on) won’t last long!

What you’ll do includes preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, troubleshooting electrical controls and PLCs, and performing installations or changes on conveyors. You’ll also handle hydraulic/pneumatic systems and keep CMMS records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mechanical maintenance experience, conveyor systems preferred.
• Must have basic manual hand and power tools.
• Ability to weld and use a cutting torch.
• Knowledge of painting, minor plumbing and lighting.
• Forklift or other powered industrial vehicle experience and certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot electrical control systems and PLC-related components; install/setup VFDs and servo motors.
• Carry out maintenance projects on conveyors including installation, removal and changes.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Identify repair parts and maintain records (CMMS).

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in partnership with a Fortune 500 company, is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics to support our clients peak retail season in Moreno Valley, CA. These fixed contract roles (with potential to be hired on) won't last long!

• Shift : 2nd and 3rd
• Pay Rate : $30-$34/hourly plus shift differential
• Duration : Contract to hire

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts. Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems
• Troubleshoot electrical control systems inclusive of motors, and their associated controls to the PLC output. Must have the ability to install/setup VFD's, as well as servo motor controls, and troubleshoot peripheral control devices to the PLC input.
• Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems to include: installation, removal, and process improvement changes.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
• Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests. (CMMS)

Your Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years mechanical maintenance experience (conveyor systems highly preferred)
• Must have command of basic manual hand/power tools - including drills, grinders, and saws.
• Have the ability to weld and utilize a cutting torch.
• Knowledge of painting/minor plumbing/lighting.
• Previous Forklift or other Powered Industrial Vehicle experience and certification (Raymond Arial Lift highly preferred)

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
