Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume nutrition manufacturing facility in Aurora, IL. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated filling, packaging, and processing equipment that directly impacts production performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintaining and troubleshooting filling and packaging equipment.
• 5+ years electromechanical troubleshooting with 24VDC-480VAC equipment.
• GMP/compliance awareness and safe troubleshooting practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to operation quickly.
• Diagnose root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and automated equipment.
• Complete PMs and work orders in the CMMS system.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Uphold safety, GMP, and food quality standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring newer maintenance team members.

This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated filling, packaging, and processing equipment that directly impacts production performance.

Compensation & Schedule

Starting Pay: $38.00/hour

Shift Premiums

• 2nd Shift: +$2.00/hour

• 3rd Shift: +$3.00/hour

Schedule (Overtime Available)

2nd Shift Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

3rd Shift Monday-Friday | 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

What You'll Do

As a member of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment

• Quickly respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to operation

• Diagnose root causes and implement long-term corrective actions

• Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and automated equipment

• Complete PMs and maintenance work orders within the CMMS system

• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects

• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams

• Maintain compliance with safety, GMP, and food quality standards

• Assist in training and mentoring newer maintenance team members

Equipment You'll Support

We're specifically looking for technicians with hands-on experience supporting equipment such as:

• Fillers

• Bottle rinsers

• Cappers

• Labelers

• Checkweighers

• Conveyors

• Case erectors

• Case sealers

• Palletizers

• Stretch wrappers

• Blenders and processing systems

• Motors and gearboxes

• AC/DC drives and VFDs

• Automated packaging equipment

Minimum Requirements

Required Experience

To be considered, candidates must have:

5+ years maintaining and troubleshooting filling and packaging equipment

AND

5+ years of hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting experience in industrial manufacturing environments working with 24VDC-480VAC equipment

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

• Arc Flash awareness

• Electrical safety procedures

• Safe troubleshooting practices

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is highly desirable:

• Food & Beverage Manufacturing

• Nutritional products manufacturing

• Dry powder filling systems

• Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC troubleshooting

• Servo motors and motion control systems

• SAP or CMMS experience

• GMP / HACCP environments

• Welding and fabrication

• Hydraulic systems

• Forklift/PIT certification

• Spanish language skills

Pay Details: $38.00 per hour
