Job summary

Scan-Pac Manufacturing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform general and preventative maintenance on production machinery, boiler/steam, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems with emphasis on industrial controls. Work at our Menomonee Falls, WI and Brown Deer, WI facilities on a 1-shift, weekly-paid schedule.

Candidates should have a 2-year technical degree and 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, plus forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance role.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and facility infrastructure runs optimally with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility infrastructure when it fails to operate.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems including control panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs (basic troubleshooting), sensors, relays, and switches.
• Respond to major/urgent equipment breakdowns.
• Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment; assist in removing old equipment.
• Help improve and document maintenance procedures.
• Help train staff in equipment operating and maintenance procedures.
• Help coordinate repair work with outside service providers.
• Help coordinate purchase of repair parts and other supplies as necessary.
• Special projects as assigned.

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general and preventative maintenance work on production machinery, boiler/steam, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems with an emphasis on industrial electrical controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that equipment and facility infrastructure runs optimally with minimal downtime.

Education & Experience:

• Forklift license, or ability to obtain one.

Knowledge, Skills & Values:

• Committed to safety. Knowledge of OSHA requirements is desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including industrial controls. PLC experience preferred.
• Ability to read/analyze/interpret technical documents, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.
• Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) .
• Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out Procedures.
• Strong sense of urgency.
