Relocation Assistance: Not Available

  • PAY & ADVANCEMENT: Up to $32.00/Hour baseline rate + tuition reimbursement program + comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement package.
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Fixed 4-Day Work Week | Monday – Thursday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM) | Enjoy guaranteed 3-day weekends with occasional Friday overtime (approx. 1 Friday/month).
  • TECH STACK: 480V 3-phase electrical distribution, AC/DC motors, hydraulic loops, pneumatic valves, SSR relays, sensors, and fundamental PLC diagnostics.
  • FACILITY & CULTURE: Established, debt-free precision manufacturing leader operating for 40+ years; modern plant floor housing 45+ production presses; high-autonomy environment with exceptional staff longevity.
  • REQUIREMENTS & LOCATION: 2+ years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience; resident within daily commuting distance of the Two Rivers / Manitowoc / I-43 manufacturing corridor.

If you are a reliable, self-directed maintenance professional looking to escape rigid corporate bureaucracies and slow-moving conglomerate environments, this direct-hire path provides a stable, high-autonomy career home. This established, debt-free precision manufacturing leader brings over 40 years of market success, consolidating engineering, custom tooling, and high-volume production under one roof. The organization is built on exceptional long-term stability—evidenced by multiple team members who have built careers here for over 30 years—and a leadership team that aggressively reinvests profits back into modern plant machinery.

This position is a true "blank canvas" for a technician who takes pride in equipment reliability and enjoys technical variety. Rather than being siloed into a narrow, repetitive task, you will wear multiple technical hats, tackling an evolving mix of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical challenges across a fleet of 45+ production presses. Because priority is placed on character, technical curiosity, and work ethic, candidates with a strong blend of hands‑on skill and a drive to keep learning are highly valued.

What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
  • Execute High-Voltage & Electrical Diagnostics: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, safely isolating electrical root causes up to 480V three-phase networks.
  • Manage Plant PM Schedules: Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance routines across production equipment, including lubricating machinery, testing thermocouples, and optimizing heating elements.
  • Rebuild Fluid Power & Controls: Tackle diverse technical challenges, ranging from rebuilding hydraulic/pneumatic valves and replacing relays/switches to executing general facility upkeep projects.
  • Dismantle & Repair Components: Independently dismantle malfunctioning equipment utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and hand tools to repair internal components before reassembling and verifying operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Plant Leadership: Partner directly with plant management and engineering teams to manage operational assets, minimize equipment downtime, and coordinate new equipment installations.
  • Log Technical Maintenance Records: Document maintenance data accurately, tracking repair lifecycles, spare part consumption, and production equipment diagnostics within facility systems.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • 2+ Years Industrial Maintenance Depth: Verifiable experience executing electro-mechanical troubleshooting and machinery repairs within a manufacturing or custom job-shop setting.
  • Electrical & Fluid Power Mastery: Hands‑on capability reading electrical/fluid schematics and diagnosing low‑voltage sensors, SSR relays, 3‑phase motors, hydraulic pumps, and basic PLC architectures.
  • Autonomous Problem‑Solving: Decisive, self‑directed drive with the confidence to troubleshoot faults independently and think critically on the shop floor.
  • Uncompromising Punctuality: Exceptional attendance history, strong personal accountability, and a safety‑first operational mindset.
  • Location & Travel Access: Permanent residency established within comfortable commuting distance of the Two Rivers / Manitowoc, WI area.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • Plastics / Press Equipment Experience: Prior background maintaining hydraulic injection molding presses, compression molding equipment, or thermoforming machinery.
  • Basic Shop Machining: Practical familiarity operating manual lathes, knee mills, surface grinders, or welding equipment for quick fixture repairs.
  • PLC Input/Output Tracing: Basic capability opening PLC software (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) to trace active I/O signals and isolate failed field inputs.
