Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Lees Summit, MO. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required, with the ability to perform machine changeovers and preventive maintenance. The position is fully onsite with competitive hourly wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, printing machines, presses, or plastics manufacturing preferred.
• Mechanical certification is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform maintenance and machine changeovers.
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine issues and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Execute work orders, machine repairs, cleaning, and lubrication to maintain equipment reliability.
• Communicate equipment performance concerns and repair needs to the Group Lead or Production Supervisor.
• Perform machine changeovers, including mandrel changes, flame setup, feeder re-stacker adjustments, conveyor changes, and feed screw setups.
• Sanitize production equipment and complete required setup and sign-off procedures.
• Record production and equipment issues on shift reports and update schedule boards as needed.
• Maintain, clean, and optimize color heads and other production equipment for efficient operation.
• Support continuous production while following quality, safety, and operational standards.

Job Description

This Industrial Maintenance Technician role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, machine changeovers, and equipment setup while supporting production goals. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lees Summit, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
