Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor in Washington, MO for a direct‑hire role in a food manufacturing environment. You’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians, drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The position requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance and 2+ years in leadership, with hands‑on expertise in 480V electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics.
This is a direct hire position and pays based on experience. $80-120k base.

This role involves overseeing a team of skilled maintenance technicians, actively engaging in troubleshooting, equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
Assign and prioritize daily preventive maintenance activities and corrective work orders.
Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and support for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
Support maintenance and operation of production, packaging, processing, and facility equipment.
Utilize CMMS software to manage and track maintenance work orders and schedules.
Monitor equipment performance, driving improvements in reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
Coordinate maintenance resources to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance parts inventory and assist with inventory control processes.
Support equipment startups, changeovers, and capital improvement projects.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with company policies and food manufacturing standards.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production leadership to support plant goals.
5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting experience with 480V electrical systems, PLC‑controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and occasional off‑shift support.
Previous experience in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or another regulated production environment strongly preferred.
Robotics or automation experience.
PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics experience.
Experience supporting automated packaging or processing equipment.
Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration.
Experience leading equipment upgrades, capital projects, or continuous improvement initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
