Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures and ensure safe operation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading blueprints and technical manuals, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work with production teams to minimize downtime. CMMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge of electrical systems, industrial controls/PLC’s, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; good communication.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and all facility systems ensuring proper and safe operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
• Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
