Job summary

MSA Safety Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Jacksonville, NC facility.

You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and sewing equipment, diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and keep systems running safely. You will read blueprints, conduct setups and changeovers, and document maintenance actions in CMMS, while collaborating with production to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance with knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and facility systems to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
• Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report hazards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a CMMS.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
