MSA Safety in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems, including sewing machines, to keep production running safely.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues, read blueprints, assist with installations, maintain records in CMMS, and support safety and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge in electrical systems, industrial controls/PLC’s, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
• Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report hazards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
• Work with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Utilize and maintain maintenance records in CMMS.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending efficiency-enhancing solutions.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.


• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.


• Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.


• Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.


• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.


• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.


• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.


• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.


• Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).


• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.


• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
