Job Description

Superior Metal Technologies is looking for HANDS-ON industrial maintenance technicians responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of various equipment used in the metal finishing process. Your role will be critical in maintaining the productivity and reliability of the production line.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, self-sufficient with minimal management interaction, and able to perform the following duties safely and efficiently.

Capabilities:

Electrical and Plumbing Skills:

• Proficient in electrical AC and DC, single phase and 3 phase (480V, 277V, 240V, 120V, 24V, 12V)
• Troubleshooting electrical issues with and without prints
• Minor plumbing (steel and PVC)

Mechanical Skills:

• Rebuild and troubleshoot pumps (centrifugal and diaphragm)
• Proficient in welding aluminum and steel
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with and without prints

Job requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Minimum of 3 years working in a metal finishing production environment
• On call for after-hours as needed
• Perform daily breakdown repairs of equipment
• Communicate inventory and supplies required for daily jobs
• Able to prioritize work based on manufacturing needs
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Able to use ladders and scaffolding
• Assist others as needed

Physical demands and abilities:

· Regularly use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces.

· Regularly lift/move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally lift/move objects over 100 lbs.

· Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

· Communicate verbally about safety and work issues.

· Tolerate working in hot or cold environments, exposure to loud sounds, dust, fumes, and solvents.

Candidates must be 18 or older and able to pass drug and alcohol tests at any time.
