Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Dunkirk, NY for an in-person, contract-to-hire role. You will repair and maintain production equipment, support preventive maintenance, and work with a skilled team on a fast-paced floor.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial equipment repair, knowledge of welding, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and a strong safety mindset. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and job stability is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing manufacturing and industrial equipment.
• Heavy industrial manufacturing background; food processing experience is a plus.
• Certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent mechanical experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Keep machinery and mechanical equipment running through repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including drives and power transmission.
• Install, start up, and shut down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain utility systems that supply heat, steam, power, gas, and air.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to make repairs and assist with machine installs.
• Take apart devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Work with preventive maintenance programs, work orders, inspection routines, and parts requests.
• Use shop equipment such as a drill press, welding equipment, and cutting tools.
• Work safely at heights, on ladders and lifts, and in tight spaces.

Industrial Maintenance Technician
Dunkirk, NY | In-Person | $25 - $36/hr | Contract-to-Hire

A well established and growing food manufacturing company with a team that cares about their people is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep a fast-paced production floor running. You will repair and maintain production equipment alongside a skilled maintenance team. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extended hours and Saturday work for preventive maintenance.

What You’ll Do:

• Keep machinery and mechanical equipment running through repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance


• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including drives and power transmission

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience repairing manufacturing and industrial equipment


• Heavy industrial manufacturing background required, and food processing experience is a plus


• Inventory experience


• Basic welding, plumbing, and electrical skills preferred


• Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working under pressure


• A stable, steady work history
  
• Certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent mechanical experience


• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
