Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on equipment repair experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance work orders, inspections, and parts inventory.
• Technical certificate or equivalent mechanical experience.
• OSHA safety knowledge and safe maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical equipment.
• Disassemble machinery, inspect components, replace defective parts, and adjust operation.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, and work orders.
• Assist with equipment installation, startup, and shutdown.
• Maintain utility systems supplying heat, steam, electricity, gas, and compressed air.
• Manage replacement parts requests and spare-parts inventory.

Enjoy finding the cause of an equipment breakdown and getting production moving again? MOHR Talent’s client is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot production machinery, complete preventive maintenance, and support plant utility systems.

You’ll work alongside the Maintenance Manager and maintenance team, handling repairs and helping prevent recurring equipment failures. Applicants from Lake View and surrounding areas are welcome.

Your day-to-day

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical drives, power transmission components, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical equipment.




• Disassemble machinery, inspect components, replace defective parts, and make operating adjustments.




• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, and work orders.




• Assist with equipment installation, startup, and shutdown.




• Maintain utility systems supplying heat, steam, electricity, gas, and compressed air.




• Request replacement parts and help maintain spare-parts inventory.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of hands-on equipment repair and maintenance experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.




• Experience diagnosing mechanical problems and working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.




• Familiarity with maintenance work orders, inspection routines, and parts inventory.




• A technical certificate or equivalent mechanical experience.




• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe maintenance practices, including working from ladders and lifts and accessing equipment in close quarters.

Food processing or packaging equipment experience is preferred. Industrial welding, plumbing, additional electrical skills, and English/Spanish proficiency are helpful.
