Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is seeking a Maintenance Tech to manage all aspects of building and equipment maintenance, including welding, fabricating, machining, and electrical work. The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in industrial maintenance, and lathe experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Associate’s degree in related technical area preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year lathe experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical, welding, basic machining (lathes and mills) maintenance.
• Maintain AC and DC drives, troubleshoot as necessary.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning equipment and machines.
• Sustain and record parts inventories and prepare a parts list for ordering.
• Prioritize maintenance jobs by work orders (low/medium/high).
• Record work orders in the system and ensure proper documentation.
• Interface with engineers and other departments to support goals.
