Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals Research Products LLC is seeking a Maintenance Tech on 2nd shift to support manufacturing operations. The role covers welding, machining, electrical work, and general equipment maintenance.

You will work with engineers, production coordinators, and other teams to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines, ensure safe operations, and keep production flowing. Applicants should have a high school diploma and industrial maintenance experience; lathe experience preferred; overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Associate's degree in a related technical area is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year lathe experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical, welding, basic machining (lathes and mills) maintenance.
• Maintain AC and DC drives, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning equipment and machines.
• Sustain and record parts inventories and list parts to be ordered.
• Prioritize maintenance jobs based on work orders.
• Accurately record work orders into the system.
• Troubleshoot machines for operation issues.
• Keep work and storage areas clean and organized.
• Install water, gas, and air piping, and electrical power when needed.
• Interface with Engineers, Production Coordinators, and other departments to meet goals.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
