Job Details

Salary: $26 - $35 per hour. Health benefits (medical, dental, vision) as low as $13/week for all 3. Retirement/401K. Vacation + PTO. Tuition reimbursement.

Shift: 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm) and 3rd shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am). Shift differentials apply.

Position Summary

This Jobot Job is hosted by Braden Prater.

During the assigned shift the Maintenance Technician performs all tasks associated with installing, adjusting and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This position troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and computer‑related issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Maintain PLCs, plant instrumentation and electronic equipment.
• Program logic controllers and, where necessary, assemble control panels.
• Reduce downtime and increase up‑stream time on all operations running on assigned shift.
• Document all issues using a PM program or work order system so that clear communication is provided to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, inspecting parts with measuring instruments and applying correction.
• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plan‑and‑take corrective action.
• Make necessary corrections and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Install new machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance welding, cutting, brazing, sawing, grinding and related metal work.
• Maintain inventory of assigned tools and related supplies.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Assist in training plant team members on operation of new equipment.
• Notify leader of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken.
• Maintain a clean work environment inside and outside the facility using good housekeeping habits.
• Work safely and responsibly following all safety rules and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leader.
• Required regular and reliable attendance.

Education and Experience

• Technical degree or trade school certificate in mechanical, electrical or HVAC.
• Two years of plant maintenance experience working with electronic troubleshooting and logic controllers (or three years of plant maintenance experience).
