Job summary

Fort Wayne Metals is looking for a Maintenance Utility Tech on the 1st shift to support cutting pulleys, capstans, and idlers. You will stock parts and assist the Preventative Maintenance and Maintenance Technicians to keep production running smoothly.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, voluntary overtime, and a safety-focused, HVAC-controlled environment. A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree and lathe/mill experience are preferred to grow in our advanced materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency, required.
• Associate's degree in related technical area, preferred.
• Lathe & Mill operation experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Phenolic Technician in daily workload of cutting pulleys, capstans, and idlers.
• Considers and comprehends detail of quality cutting and how it affects the wire drawing process.
• Stocks parts and ensures recyclables are in proper locations.
• Assists Preventative Maintenance and Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested by management.
