Job summary

Jobot is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Ware, MA. This on-site, permanent role focuses on maintaining and improving production equipment, troubleshooting PLCs, automation, and conveyor systems to maximize uptime and safety.

You will work with a team to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read schematics, and participate in ongoing training. A technical degree and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, robotics, conveyor systems, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical skills, with understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automation systems for performance and safety.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of conveyor systems for smooth product movement.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and time spent.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on improvements and solutions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends.
