Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a direct-hire role in Sturbridge, MA. The position focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and electrical control systems to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with strong skills in reading schematics, understanding PLCs, and adhering to LOTO and electrical safety procedures.

Qualifications

3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of LOTO, Arc Flash, and electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and electrical control systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work.
Support equipment installations, startups, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
Maintain electrical parts inventory and spare components.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety standards.
Assist with continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment performance and reduce downtime.
