Job summary

Penguin Random House US is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the Crawfordsville Distribution Center. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining plant equipment and facilities.

Prior facility maintenance experience is essential for success in this position. Shifts include 2nd shift 3:00pm–11:00pm with a 12.5% differential and 3rd shift 11:00pm–7:00am with a 15% differential.

Qualifications

• Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics; mechanical trades; forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus.
• Prior experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other PLCs is desirable.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain plant equipment and facilities.
• Maintain facility systems and equipment on the Crawfordsville site.
• Assist with overtime and shift coverage as required.
