Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Harrisburg, NC plant to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. You will read blueprints, work instructions, plans, and manuals; install, repair, and replace components, and collaborate with a team to keep operations safe and efficient.

Requirements include 1+ year in manufacturing, a business/technical degree preferred, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook; valid driver's

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Business/technical degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of large-machine operation and infrastructure construction.
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, plans, and equipment manuals.
• General computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, databases.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Inspect equipment to identify problems before they become larger issues.
• Repair or replace components including motors, switches, and valves.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, and electronics.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems (low- and high-voltage).
• Fabricate parts or components when needed.
• Read and follow blueprints, instructions, plans and manuals.
• Collaborate with team to keep operations moving safely.
