UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our Maintenance Department in Charlottesville. You’ll handle repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, following blueprints and safety standards.

This is a Monday–Friday role with periodic night and weekend overtime, and on-the-job training is provided. You’ll work with PLCs and control systems, perform boiler and wastewater checks, and help keep facilities running smoothly through proactive maintenance and

Competenze

Our client requires a high school diploma or GED with a preferred two-year technical degree.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics and perform maintenance tasks accordingly.
Experience with PLCs, control systems, and industrial equipment maintenance is preferred.

Mansioni

Troubleshoot sources of equipment problems through observation and testing tools.
Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and specifications.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust as needed.
Conduct daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as required.
Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters and perform other maintenance tasks.
Perform basic welding activities for repairs on facilities and equipment.
Inspect, clean, and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts per procedures.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
