Job summary

FedEx Industrial Maintenance is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in California to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, read diagrams, and operate EAM software as part of daily tasks.

Candidates should have 2+ years in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics and basic welding/fabrication skills, with a focus on safety and reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills.
• Competency in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/controls along with basic welding/fabrication skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems within the material handling system.
• Adhere to safety standards and attend trainings; promote a safe work environment.
• Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• May be involved in smaller scope projects.
