Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Midland, PA is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair galvanizing equipment at the Coatings site. This role demands hands-on electrical, mechanical and safety-focused work to keep facilities running smoothly.

You will perform repairs, install parts, plan maintenance, and work with ladders and cranes as needed. The ideal candidate has 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, knowledge of 480/220 3-phase electrical systems, and

Qualifications

• Three years of previous experience in an Industrial Maintenance position.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical/basic electrical knowledge through testing.
• Electrical knowledge of 480/220 3-phase and 110 volt.
• Climb and work from ladders, man lifts, bridge cranes, and roofs over 80 ft.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
• Two years of experience operating hand and/or power tools.
• Positive teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform light electrical work to repair or maintain company equipment
• Move hazardous waste drums from still room to the hazardous waste storage area
• Install and configure new equipment as well as dismantle and replace defective or old parts and machines
• Plan and manage the repair and maintenance of all equipment and buildings
• Adjust necessary equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
