Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an entry-to-mid level Maintenance Technician C to support safe, reliable operation of production equipment. You will perform hands-on maintenance and basic troubleshooting while assisting senior technicians and leaders on more complex tasks.

This role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining product quality, and building foundational reliability skills in a team-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Foundational experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Maintain bearings, belts, chains, pulleys, shafts, motors and gearboxes.
Support conveyance systems, pumps, valves, and utility systems (steam, air, water).
Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance for safe operation.
Identify and resolve common mechanical issues impacting safety or production.
Diagnose problems, perform repairs or part replacements, restore functionality.
Document issues, root causes, and corrective actions with teams.
Complete work orders to support plant reliability and improvement.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Follow safety and quality standards during project work.
Work with senior technicians and maintenance leads.
Learn advanced maintenance and reliability skills.
