Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for its Sterling, VA facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics systems to keep high-speed processing equipment running reliably.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work orders while adhering to strict safety standards and LOTO procedures. This is a 3rd shift role based in Sterling, VA.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-level electrical and mechanical training with progress in experience.
• HAVC Journeyman license is a strong plus and supports advanced HVAC diagnostics.
• Experience with robotics and automated processing or packaging equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot components to identify root causes and restore operation.
• Diagnose HVAC issues and ensure reliable heating and cooling across the facility.
• Repair and maintain HVAC, refrigerated environments, and related systems.
• Test, adjust, and calibrate control systems for HVAC equipment.
• Document maintenance records and work orders accurately.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Operate tools and follow Lockout Tagout procedures for safety.
