Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an Indianapolis, IN, onsite role. The position is contract-to-hire, primarily second shift, focusing on preventive maintenance and repair of industrial machinery including motors, conveyors and presses.

The candidate will read schematics, work with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics and VFDs, and collaborate with a small team to keep production running safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting on industrial machinery.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting incl. three-phase power and motor controls.
• Hands-on preventive maintenance experience in industrial env.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience maintaining motors and conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pneumatics.
• Experience with PLCs in maintenance.
• Basic welding skills.
• Able to work independently on a small team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance including inspections, calibrations, safety checks, lubrication and replacements to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, presses and similar equipment.
• Install, relocate and modify machinery per production needs and specs.
• Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Inspect and replace worn mechanical components and bearings.
• Maintain conveyor systems and motor controls for proper operation.
• Diagnose sensors and switches to ensure safe machine operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on three-phase systems.
• Collaborate with team to prioritize maintenance activities and document work.
